What we're looking for

We're searching for charismatic, confident individuals with a passion for radio, storytelling, and community engagement. No experience required — just personality and drive.

What's at stake

The winner will receive a 12-month presenter contract with Alfred Nzo Community Radio, professional training, and the opportunity to host their own show on our community station.

Audition guidelines

Follow these steps to ensure a smooth audition process. We want to see the real you — so come prepared and be yourself.

Before you apply
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Reside in or near the Alfred Nzo district
  • Prepare a 2-minute voice demo (optional but recommended)
  • Have a clear idea of your on-air personality
Audition day tips
  • Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time
  • Bring a printed or downloaded copy of your registration confirmation
  • Be ready for a short interview and on-mic test
  • Show us your energy and unique perspective

Eligibility

Applicants must be 18 years or older and residents of the Alfred Nzo district. Previous radio experience is not required. All applications are subject to verification.

Data privacy

Your personal information will be used solely for the purpose of this audition process. We do not share your data with third parties without your explicit consent.

Ownership

By submitting your demo, you grant Alfred Nzo Community Radio the right to review and retain your submission for audition purposes. Winners' content may be used for promotional material.

Code of conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally throughout the audition process. Any form of harassment or discrimination will result in immediate disqualification.
